At MacDonald Steel we believe that Technology is the way of the future. Our organization is in the process of reducing paper and storing files electronically where possible. Our business partners play a key role in that process because most correspondence between us will become electronic as well.

We expect in the near future to be transferring all drawings, RFQ's and Purchase orders by E-mail. Venders who would like to quote on specific items will be expected to have the necessary tools to view Electronic Autocad Drawings, MS Office documents and PDF files.

Autocad drawings can be viewed with different software packages such as Fastlook, or Dr. Draw. PDF files can be viewed by Adobe Acrobat Reader.

All office employees at MacDonald Steel have their own E-mail and Internet access. We have installed a T1 line which virtually eliminates the delays of sending and receiving files. We suggest to all our Venders and Customers that they subscribe to no less then a High speed DSL account. For more information on DSL click or
